Isabella Benjumea

Isabella is the bilingual multimedia journalist for WJHG NewsChannel 7 and Telemundo Panama City. She was born in Cali, Colombia, and grew up in South Florida.

She graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in sociology.

During her time at UCF, Isabella served as a reporter and anchor for both UCF Knightly News and Knightly Latino. She also interned at WESH 2 News, where she gained professional experience in the broadcast industry. Following her internship, she worked as a multimedia journalist (MMJ) for Univision Orlando.

Beyond her journalism career, Isabella is an accomplished dancer. She performed professional salsa for four years and reggaeton for two years. She is also an active member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, contributing to her professional community and the industry.
